Pragya Nayan (also known as Pragya Nayan Sinha) is an Indian actress and model who primarily works in the Telugu and Kannada film industries.Known for her strong educational background and versatile screen presence, she has steadily built a reputation as a promising talent in regional and emerging pan-Indian cinema.

Early Life and Career Beginnings

Pragya Nayan is one of the few actresses in the industry to successfully pivot from a high-level corporate technical background to the creative arts. After graduating from BITS Pilani, she began her professional career working as an engineer at the multinational IT corporation Wipro.

While working in the corporate sector, her long-standing interest in fashion and the performing arts led her to explore modeling on the side. Her striking features and camera-friendly presence soon helped her secure modeling assignments, eventually sparking her complete transition from an IT professional to a full-time actress.

Acting Career

• Debut and Early Work: Pragya officially marked her acting debut in 2018 with the Kannada film Escape. Following her debut, she expanded her horizons and entered the Telugu film industry with the 2019 movie Samaram.
• Gaining Recognition in Tollywood: She began gaining more visible traction in Telugu cinema through a series of diverse roles. In 2022, she appeared in the fantasy-comedy Suraapanam. She followed this up with a strong supporting role as Shilpa in the 2023 thriller Chakravyuham: The Trap.
• Breakthrough and Recent Projects: Her career took a significant leap forward in 2024 with her lead role as Paddhu in the horror-thriller Kalinga, where she was praised for her emotional depth. Most recently, she stepped into the pan-Indian spotlight with the highly anticipated March 2026 action-thriller Mission C1000, a film released across multiple languages.
